Annalene Marshall Oresta Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Annalene Marshall Oresta of Salem, Virginia, who passed away on January 7, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Elder Franklin Oresta; her brother Ray Marshall; and her father Sam. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Gordon (Tom) of Salem, VA and Donna Esposito (Mark) of Apex, NC; her grandchildren, Carmen Hardin (Scott), Kevin Gordon (Denise), Brittany Cockerham (Zack), Courtney Gandy (Kevin) and Zachary Esposito; her great grandchildren, Haley Gordon, Adrianne Hardin, Campbell Hardin, Greyson Cockerham, Shelby Cockerham and Eli Gandy; her sisters, Katherine "Kat" Dalton (Paul) of Bluefield, WV, Brenda Wickline (Charles) of Peterstown, WV, Connie Kirby of Princeton, WV and Carla Shrewsbury (Marty) of Lashmeet, WV; and her caregivers, Carol, Kelly, Linetty, Htin, Kiwi Anna, Ashley, David and Ann. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Homes (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in honor of Annalene "Ann" Oresta to Good Samaritan Sheila S. Strauss Hospice House, 4751 Cove Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24017 or Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
