He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Sartin and Lucy Sartin; his son Alvin Sartin Jr.; and his siblings, Calvin Sartin (Pat), Margaret Weis (Cree), Ruth Stafford (Toodley), Joel Sartin (Punk), Estelle Lafon Skeen, Basil Sartin, Mary Joann Sartin and Linda M. Craft.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela G. Sartin; his daughter Sandy Ayers (Mike); his grandchildren, Christopher Ayers, Kristen Guthrie (David) and Katie Hancock (Corey); his great grandchildren, Brylee, Levi, Caden and Deacon; his siblings, Donald Sartin (Shirley) and Dreama Page (Donnie); his sisters-in-law, Barbara Maxey and Brenda Shaver; and his pets, Trip and Trixie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Alvin's name to Salem Church of God, 600 Craig Ave. Salem, Virginia 24153.
