It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Hubert Sutherland of Saint Paul, Virginia, who passed away on April 1, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elihu Jasper Sutherland and Hetty Jean Swindall Sutherland. He is survived by: his wife Thora "Toy" Cornelia McElrath Sutherland; his daughters, Georgia and Susanne Kareen Sutherland (Michael Philip Frame) of Boise Idaho; his grandchildren, Ian Sutherland Frame of Boise, Idaho and April Beth Frame Perrins (Clayton) of Boise, Idaho; his great grandchildren, Rhoen William Perrins, Knox Beliveau Perrins and Hans Sutherland Perrins of Boise, Idaho; and his brother James Sutherland of Santa Paula, California..
Mr. Sutherland's wishes to have his body donated to contribute to further medical research. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Commandant's Priorities Fund with the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets.
