He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph Leonard; and his son Terry Wayne Hughes. He is survived by: his parent Margaret Naomi Williams Hughes; his wife Carolyn Hughes; his daughters, Sherry Pruitt (Dennis) of St. Paul, Janie Stidham (Buford) of Castlewood and Candi Needham (Toby) of Appalachia; his siblings, Phyllis Edwards of St. Paul, Doris Powers of St. Paul, Pete Hughes (Bonnie) of Aurora, Gerald Hughes (Peggy) of Aurora and Robert Hughes of St. Paul; his significant other Ralph Sluss of St. Paul; his nieces, Janet Hughes and Pam Culver; and also Daisy. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
