He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta Parsons; his parents, Emory Parsons and Hazel Parsons; his granddaughter Mandy Parsons Jessee; and his siblings, Claude Parsons, Hans Parsons, Phillip Parsons, Danny Parsons, William Parsons, Jessee Parsons, Alberta Flanary, Deloria Cochran and Della Parsons.
He is survived by: his children, Donnie Parsons of St. Charles, VA, Judy Shirks (Roger) of St. Charles, VA, Wayne Parsons (Melissa) of Jonesville, VA, Gloria Longsworth of St. Charles, VA, Jackie Parsons of Sticklyville, VA and Tyke Parsons (Vicki) of Jonesville, VA; his grandchildren, Shawn Shirks (Karen), Kevin Shirks, Eric Shirks (Brittany), Jennifer Parsons Stapleton, Tiffany Slusher (Bobby), Kimberly Hounshell (Jordan), Ashley Mullins (Jimmy), Julie Ely (Mark), Brandon Longsworth and Leslie Miles (Eric); and his sisters, Gearldean Salyers (Bill) of Noblesville, IN and Joyce Ewing (Ronnie) of Noblesville, IN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Due to covid-19 state regulations, those attending the visitation and funeral are asked to wear masks/facial covering. Social distancing guidelines will also be in place.
