He was predeceased by: his significant other Rudy; his son Ned Carter; and his siblings, Buddy Thomas and Sue Weiner. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Thomas; his daughters, Angela Deloach (Wesley) and Brandi Fuller (Ray); his stepchildren, Angela Pratt (Rico), Wilson Atwell and John Atwell; his siblings, Mary Ellen Satterwhite, Liz "Sissy" Jenkins, Robin Wright, Jimmy Thomas and Curtis Thomas; and his grandchildren, Matthew Cooper, Gregory Arnold, Raven Roy, Robin Roy, Kayla Roy, Trevor Atwell, Haley Atwell, Colton Atwell and Kaitlyn Atwell.
