It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Young Beckner of Ruther Glen, Virginia, who passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Thomas Edward Young and Perman Beckner; her parents, Jesse Taylor and Sallie Southworth Taylor; her siblings, James Monroe Taylor, Raymond Lewis Taylor, Charles Edward Taylor, Herbert Wilson Taylor, Roger Lee Taylor, Sr., Rosa Bernice Taylor Cox and Shirley Taylor Schuler; and her granddaughter Stephanie Kate Pitts.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Fay Young, Mary Lee Whittaker (Caroline County) and Gina Spears of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Stacy Salzburg, Timothy Edward Eads and Tyler Nathaniel Spears; her great grandchild Paris Kate Callahan; and her friend Dale Long.
