He is survived by: his wife Christine Jackson Smith; his children, Falonda and Garland P. Smith III (Ana); his granddaughter Breyana; his siblings, Delores S. Tyler, Shellia M. Smith and Willie G. Smith; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Jackson and Elizabeth Mines. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
