He was predeceased by: his parents, McKinley Jones and Susie Jones; his wife Evelyn Jones; his children, Keith, Orlando Jones and Joyce Jones; and his grandsons, Charles Caraway and Aaron Mack.
He is survived by: his children, Ernest (Donna) of Champaign, Angela Mack and Sandra Elam of Richmond, Virginia; his daughters-in-law, Velma Jones (Orlando) and Frances Jones (Keith) of Richmond; and his siblings, Gladys Goode of Richmond, Doris Nelson (Eddie), Barbara Rock of Ruther Glen, Virginia and Lorenzo Jones (Jannie) of Ruther Glen, Virginia. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
