Douglas Manley Carter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Manley Carter of Ruther Glen, Virginia, who passed away on August 12, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Jean Carter; his parents, Manley Carter (Tom) and Christine Carter; his sister Eleanor Hall; and his grandson Stephen Sheets.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Carter, Jacqueline Marlowe (Mark Marlowe), Janice Cooper (Lee Cooper), Jeanie Cooper (Doug Cooper) and Jamie Carter (Chris Pitts); his sisters, Diane Luck and Linda Greer; and his close friend Barbara Dalton Dunnavant. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Riverside Community Church.
