He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Cannon and Alma; his siblings, Max, Dorothy Cannon Whitlock, Barbara Jean Sanford and Virginia Lee Cannon; and his poodles, Bobo and Princess.
He is survived by: his children, Charles R. Cannon, Jr. and Lori Cannon Taylor; his significant other Laura Cannon; his grandsons, Sean Taylor and Greyson Cannon; his nephew William; his brother Julian Cannon; and his nieces and nephews, B. J. Cannon, Nora Mae Cannon, Linda Wingfield Hall, J. C. Cannon and David Cannon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or a local animal shelter.
