She was predeceased by: her parents, George T. Gatewood and Theresa S. Gatewood; and her siblings, Thomas, Robert, Kenneth Gatewood and Francis E. Hemrick.
She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy DeSarno (Vince) and Jean Shugars (Mike); her sisters, Lucy Mayo, Marian Paytes and Ann Southworth; and her grandchildren, Shawn Shugars, Vincent DeSarno, Jr., Jennifer Podgurski, Melissa Callison, Matthew DeSarno and Heather Weiseneder. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of special friends.
