She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Henry Leebrick Sr. and Barbara "Leebrick" Gowen; her daughter Candace Michelle Ballowe; and her pets, Kujo and Comfort.

She is survived by: her husband John "Woody" Woodson of Rustburg; her daughters, Shirley "Ballowe" Willis (Buddy) of Madison Heights and Barbara "Ballowe" Harris of Rustburg; her grandchildren, Tiffany Jones (Tony), Charles "Terry" Ballowe, Mark Willis (Brittany), Sidney Woodward, Caitlyn Seay and Evan Willis (Amiyah); her pet Dewey; and her sisters, Fonda "Leebrick" Lara of Ray and Anne M. Leebrick. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
