He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Herndon and Lillian Mitchell; his wife Shirley Herndon; his first-born infant Roger Nathaniel; his son-in-law Dieter Blank; his siblings, Pledge, Wallace, Edward, Clyde, Wesley, Martha, Ruth, Lillian, Emma, Ethel and Mary; and his daughter Shelbry Cecilia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
