With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Braley Staton of Rustburg, Virginia, born in Spencer, Virginia, who passed away on February 1, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husbands, Thomas Shelby Melton and John Leroy Hart, Jr.; her husband Darrell Wayne Staton; her parents, Cullie Arnold Braley, Sr. and Gertie Wilson Braley; and her brothers, Charles, Gene and Danny Braley.
She is survived by: her sons, Thomas Melton (Lori), Mark Melson (Janet), Mike Melton (Allison) and Chris Hart; her siblings, Arnold Braley, Jr. (Joan), Alma Lou Dodd and Martha Sue Taylor (Clare); her grandchildren, Rae Hart, William Melton, Erin Sparks, Jasper Melton and Ruby Melton; and her great grandchildren, Kenzie and Kendall Sparks.
