It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael Wayne Myers of Rustburg, Virginia, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on December 10, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Myers and Frances Abbitt; his stepfather Thomas "Bud" Abbitt; and his nephew Troy Scott Fitzgerald. He is survived by: his sisters, Faye Hipps of Rustburg, Gina Carter (Ron) of Appomattox, Susan Cary and Lynchburg; his niece Suzanne Hahn; his cousins, Danny Myers and Karen Derrick; his aunt Ann Hudson; and his brother-in-law Mitch Franklin. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Toys for Tots or the Salvation Army.
