We are sad to announce that on August 28, 2022, at the age of 83, James Richard Vance Jr. of Rustburg, Virginia, born in Dayton, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard Vance and Edith Reese Vance. He is survived by: his children, Vanessa V. Bhalla (Kris) of Lynchburg and James R. Vance, III (Amy) of Vancouver, WA; his sister Virginia V. Wilmer of Salem; and his grandchildren, Alex Bhalla Chotiner, Brice Bhalla, Taylor Vance and Leaf Vance.
