It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Imogene Hamlett Scott of Rustburg, Virginia, who passed away on December 27, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Lee Hamlett, Jr. and Pearl Imogene Hamlette Hamlett; and her siblings, Russell Woodrow Hamlett, George Wilson Hamlett, Daniel DeWitt Hamlett, Isaac Edison Hamlett, Charles Edward "Charlie" Hamlett, Royal Dean Hamlett, Ruth Hamlett Hamlette, Eva Hamlett Harper, Ruby Hamlett Lowe, Esther "Rachel" Hamlett McDonald, Baby Laura, Lois Hamlett Hudson, Mamie Hamlett Scott and Nancy Hamlett Harper.

She is survived by: her daughters, Daylia Scott Welch (James) of College Station, Eileen M. Fields (Steven) of Bryan, Texas and Marquette "Markie" Hixon of Bryan, Texas; her grandchildren, Kristen Slafka (Ray), Brandon, Alicie, Walter Welch, Amanda Dean and Leah Pendley (Justin); her great grandchildren, Tristen Hixon, Acelynn Edwards, Brooklyn, Sofia Slafka, Kyzee and Hadlee Pendley; and her sisters, Mary Ann Riley (J. T.) of Garland, N. C. and Ida Mae "Polly" Harper (Marvin) of Madison Heights.

Following CDC guidelines everyone that attends the service will be required to wear a mask and social distance.
