It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel East Rigney of Rustburg, Virginia, born in Halifax, Virginia, who passed away on February 23, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton East and Dorothy East; her daughter Rosemarie Lambert; her granddaughter Teresa Frances; and her siblings, Virginia East, G. Clyde East, Ed East, Stewart East and Albert East.
She is survived by: her significant other Bill Martin; her children, Ellen Murray and Okie Rigney; her brothers, Bill East and Acie Bailey East; and her grandchildren, Sean, Bradley, Jennifer, Jessica and Robert. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
