He was predeceased by: his uncle Willie Mason; his aunt Virginia Mason; and his brothers, Grover C. Scott, III and Phillip Mason. He is survived by: his children, Angela Brown (Raymond) of Rustburg, VA, Melissa Scott of Evington, VA, Haywood Scott, Jr. of Lynchburg and Lewis, Sr. (Kim) of Forest, VA; his siblings, Juanita Payne (Lindburg) of Rustburg, VA, Lois Poindexter (John) of Forest, VA, Linda Scott (Ken) and Richard Scott of Roanoke, VA; his sisters-in-law, Phllis Griffin of Hampton, VA and Ann Calloway of Columbus, OH; his nephews, Tracy Scott and Travis Scott; his grandchildren, Adrian Brown, Marquita Roberson, Takendra Scott, LaShawna Scott, Devin Scott, Chavez Lewis, Trae Lewis, Iashia Berkley, Elijah Hubbard and Zavion Coleman; his friend Reed Johnson; his aunt Carrie Clarke; his cousin Kathy Clarke; and also Edward Johnson. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren with one being very devoted Ry'Niya Scott his pride and joyand he also had three children.
