She was predeceased by: her father John Veil Godman; and her brother John Goodman (Buster). She is survived by: her husband Clarence "Slim" Dowdy; her children, Sherry Dowdy Brady (Jim) and John Dowdy (Jay); her grandchildren, Katie, Matt, Ashley and Reed; her great grandchildren, Issac and Isabel; and her sister Mildred Keesee (Delmas).
