He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hall Droog; his children, Wendy Droog Posey (Randy) of Anmoore, WV, David Droog Jr. of Rustburg, VA, Benjamin Droog (Tiffany) of Crew, VA, Philip Droog Sr. (April) of Gretna, VA, Daniel Droog (Marcy) of Rustburg, VA and Sarah Droog Owens of Gladys, VA; his grandchildren, Stanley Sr., David III, Joseph, Andrew, Rebekah, Jacob, Johanna, Caroline, Philip Jr., Ruth, Rose and Ruby; his stepgrandchildren, Renee, Hayley and Collin; his great grandchildren, Stanley Jr. and Lyla; and his sisters, Mary Ellen Getz (Grayson) of Quicksburg, VA and Judy Evans (Jim) of Concord, VA..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory-Lynchburg (220 Breezewood Dr, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Dodson Family Cemetery (1211 Dodson Dr, Rustburg, VA 24588).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Rustburg Fire Department or the Rustburg Life Saving Crew.
