Though Cody may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Cody touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ronald Tucker, Milton Simpson and Estelle Simpson. He is survived by: his parents, Randall "Randy" Simpson and Rhonda Simpson; his siblings, Danny Simpson (Lauren Groetch) and Calley Simpson Marler (William "Shawn" Marler); and his grandmother Janice Tucker (Mary Haskins). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Cody's memory to The American Cancer Society or The Lynchburg Humane Society.
