“It is with great sorrow that I have learned of Carroll's death. We were friends and neighbors in the 60’s. He taught me to drive his father’s truck and I took over his newspaper route when he went to work for Winn-Dixie. We spent countless hours playing board games of which he won most of the time because he was much smarter than I was. He was my best friend as a child. Bobby Bailey”
