We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2022, at the age of 88, Betty Cooper Matthews of Rustburg, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Matthews, Sr.; her parents, Homer Montaque Cooper and Lena Wheeler Cooper; and her siblings, Thomas, Robert, Montaque Cooper and Gloria Brock.

She is survived by: her children, Paul Matthews, Jr. of Rustburg and Paula Drinkard (Donald) of Appomattox. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
