He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Mays and Nettie Mays; his brothers, Fred Mays and Vernon Mays; and his pet Jack.
He is survived by: his sons, Jason Mays (Melanie) of Amherst and Corey Mays (Krystalin) of Bedford; his grandsons, Hunter, Colt, Maddox, Ridge and Sutton; his nephews, Bryan Mays of Salisbury, N. C. and Steven Mays of Concord, N. C.; and his former wife Melissa Staples of Amherst.
