She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert S. Fisher and Ada Ruth Wilcox; her husband Carl Brown Vaught; and her siblings, David Fisher and Kathryn Overbay Humphreys.
She is survived by: her children, Carlin Sue Hounshell (James) of Salem, VA and Curtis P. Vaught (Linda) of Rural Retreat; her grandchildren, Michelle Bailey (Jarrod Crew), Chad P. Vaught (Kim Bilodeau-Colbert) and Cameron P. Vaught (Terri); her great grandchildren, Carlin Rivera (Willy), Blake Bailey and Chloe Vaught; her great great grandchild Sophia Rivera; her siblings, Don Fisher (Shirley) and Mary Frances Kincer; and her close friend Debbie Debord. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lindsey Funeral Home (219 N Main St, Rural Retreat, VA 24368). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at the Asbury Cemetery (163 Asbury Church Rd, Rural Retreat, VA 24368).
