He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Simmons; his children, Darrel Simmons (Vicki) of Rural Retreat, VA, Ted Simmons, Ray Simmons of Buchanan, VA, Christel Kelley of Marion, VA and Lita Regan (Bill); his half-sister Mary Dillon; and his friend Peggy Moore.
