He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Slagle Harden; his sons, Richard Harden, Jr. (Connie) of Marion, VA and Johnny Harden (Debra Hanna) of Wytheville, VA; his grandchildren, Travis Harden (Samantha) of Marion, Kayla Able (Daniel) of Marion, John Harden of Rural Retreat and Cheyenne Harden; his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn of Marion, Khloe Harden of Marion, Sadie Able of Marion and Caroline Harden of Rural Retreat; his brother Doug Harden of Atkins, VA; and his siblings-in-law, Charles Slagle and Barbara Roberts of Rural Retreat.
