He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Hobson King Jr. and Pearl Catherine Cox King; his daughter Tamara Lynn King; and his siblings, Garnett King, Edna Fowler, Betty Grubb, Patsy Sheffey and Peggy King.
He is survived by: his wife Judy F. King; his son Clifton King (Misty) of Rural Retreat; his grandchildren, Zachary King, Brandi Moore, Terri Lawson and Ashlyn Dalton; his great grandchildren, Parker, Brady, Brennan, Connor, Brent and Briggs; and his sister Shirley Winebarger of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lindsey Funeral Home (219 N Main St, Rural Retreat, VA 24368). A memorial service was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at the King's Grove Cemetery (Crockett, VA 24323).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Rural Retreat Emergency Services.
