He is survived by: his wife Mary Emile Hipps (Danner) of Rural Retreat, VA; his sons, Jeffrey Ralph Hipps (Cindy) of Sylvia, IL and Kevin Matthew Hipps of Wytheville, VA; his grandchildren, Jason Hipps and Ryan Hipps; and his siblings, Larry Hipps and Judy Maynard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
