He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Emogene Boggs (Jean); his parents, Reuben and Nannie; his son John Michael (Olga); and his grandfather Hayes.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Carol, Randy Wayne (Sherry) and Mark Douglas (Tina); his grandchildren, David, Jonathan, Michelle, Lucas, Isaac, Tanner, Cory, Maddy and Toni; and his siblings, Eugene Hayes of Clintwood, VA., Ruby, Bea, Pearl, Pauline, Jimmy and Charlie. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
