He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Franklin Covill and Pauline Maxey Covill; his wife Dian Covill; his brothers, Steven Covill and Keith Covill; his brothers-in-law, Donald Wimmer and Jimmie Sutphin; and his nephews, Shaun and Robert Lee Wimmer.

He is survived by: his sisters, Donna Wimmer of Eggleston and Carol Sutphin of Eggleston.
