He was predeceased by: his father Glen Reed Hilton; his wife Carlene Grey Hilton; and his brother Richard Reed "Dickie Boy" Hilton. He is survived by: his children, Jay Hilton of Rural Retreat and Kristi Hilton Jackson of Wytheville; his granddaughter Mackenzie Jackson; and his friend Ann Poff of Rural Retreat.
