He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Smith and Myrtle Taylor Smith. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Smith; his children, Brian Smith (Alison Yu), Christopher Hoover Smith of England and Dana Howell (Jeff King) of Wytheville, VA; his grandchildren, Brian Smith Jr., Maya Smith Shoaf, Kayla Gravley and Kyle Gravley; and his great grandchildren, Gracie Shoaf, Atticus Shoaf and Henry Smith.
