Ellis Elbert Crigger Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellis Elbert Crigger of Rural Retreat, Virginia, who passed away on February 1, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Krenning R. Crigger and Aldia Vivian Shelton Crigger; and his siblings, Robert Crigger, Franklin Crigger, Roy Crigger, Randy Crigger, Dolly Sylvester, Shirley Harden and Kathleen Crigger.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley S. Crigger; his children, Del, Polly Crigger of Wytheville, VA, Daniel, Tracey Crigger of Max Meadows, VA, Drusilla Parks of Sugar Grove, VA, Debbie Crigger (Billy Thompson) of Ivanhoe, VA, Dreamma and John Danes of Diamond, OH; his stepchildren, David, Steven Kendall of Rural Retreat, Donna Compton (Tim) of Stephensville, TX and Glenda Arnett; and his grandmother Jean Kendall of Gray, TN. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid – 19, a private graveside will be held Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery with Military rites being conducted by American Legion Post # 229 of Rural Retreat and the US Army Honor Guard.
The family requests that those who prefer may make memorial donations to American Legion Post # 229 of Rural Retreat or to any Shriners Hospitals For Children.
