He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Collins and Ramona Yontz Collins; his former wife Ellen Kate Collins; his sister Deborah Palmer; his granddaughter Brittany Michelle Andrews; his stepchildren, John Robinson Frye, Jr., Donald Reece Frye and Pearl Elizabeth Thomas; and his nephew Johnny Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Collins; his daughters, Mary Ellen Looney (Scott) and Leaslie Delp (Jonathan) of Chilhowie; his stepchildren, Bobby Frye, Buzzy Frye, Jerry Frye, Danny Frye, Susie Cannon, Kathy Dowell (Junior), Diana Heath and Frances Davidson; his siblings, David Carl Collins (Anita) and Diane Harris; his grandchildren, Kali Sheets (Ray), Jaden Delp, Rain Delp and Ivy Frye; and his great grandchildren, James Dale Sheets and Heaven Hope Sheets. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
