He was predeceased by: his former wife Jeri Lynn Allen; and his sister Elizabeth Austin (Robert). He is survived by: his wife Joan; and his stepsons, Robert Atherton (Eugenie) and Jeffrey Sterling (Jeanne). He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
