He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Columbus Harlow and Bonnie Adron McDaniel Harlow; his wife Betty Jean Wells Harlow; and his siblings, Jesse W. Harlow, Imogene E. Gibson, Daisy A. Harlow, Myrle E. Cason and Gloria A. Welch.

He is survived by: his siblings, Carlton C. Harlow (Patricia) of Ruckersville and Rachel T. Farwell of Frederick Md; and his close friend Bo Taylor. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
