She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennie Frank Deane, Sr. and Wilma May Deane; and her siblings, Bennie Frank Deane, Jr., Lois Carol Dean and Darthy Ann Gardner.
She is survived by: her husband Malcolm Powell; her granddaughters, Kimberly and Elena; and her siblings, Janice Lorraine Powell (Roger) and Larry Elliot Deane. She is also survived by four other grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont or All Blessings Flow in Charlottesville, VA.
