She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Allen Shifflett and Lessie Mildred Shifflett; her husband John Franklin Collier Sr.; her son John Franklin Collier Jr.; and her siblings, George Shifflett, Joseph Shifflett, Fannie Mae Shifflett, Goldie Deane, Doris Deane and Margaret McCardell.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Townsend, David Edwin Collier, Stuart Allen Collier and Wendell Wade Collier; her sister Sylvia Morris; her grandchildren, Amber Baker, Taylor Collier, Adam Townsend, Story Collier, Jessica Townsend and Travis Collier; and her great grandchildren, Addison Forloins and Gunner Baker.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Batten Funeral Home (12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (614 Evergreen Church Rd, Dyke, VA 22936).
