It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Edward Shiflet (Ruckersville, Virginia), born in Charlottesville, Virginia, who passed away on July 19, 2019, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lewis Shifflett and Lena Arlene Hunt; his granddaughter Rhilynn Gantt; and his nephew Mitchell Lamb. He is survived by: his daughter Mekalyn Shifflett (Walker Perfater); his stepdaughter Kendra Arias (Gabriel Arias); his grandsons, Jace, Cason Gantt and Kade Arias; his brother Michael L. Shifflett (Lisa Shifflett); his stepbrother Doug Wright; his sister Debbie Bankard (Steve Bankard); his stepsisters, Alice Hensley (Tom Hensley) and Gayle Wright-Smith (Matt Smith); his stepmother Mary Shifflett; and his close friend Brittainy Stevens. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
