William Rice Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Rice Sr. (Ruby, Virginia), born in Covington, Virginia, who passed away on December 11, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lee and Nellie Rea Rice; his brothers, Russell Lee Rice, Oliver Ray Rice and H. W. "Joe" Rice; and his wife Ruby Brisendine Rice.
He is survived by: his sons, William Darfow Rice Jr. (Linda) of Wytheville, Jerry Allen Rice (Martha) of Covington and Stephen Lee Rice (Cathy) of Covington; his great grandchildren, Jackson Darfow Lester, William Carlyle Wheatley, Allyson Elaine (Laney) and Tyler Allen Rice; and his sisters-in-law, Lula Rice of Sam Black and Anne Brisendine of Detroit. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
