He is survived by: his wife Ruby Ring; his daughters, Deborah Gibson (Barry) and Angela Sowards (Billy); his grandson Cal Wharton; his stepgrandson Michael Sowards (Helen); his great grandchild Skyler Nickels (Dave Carmody); and his sister Evelyn Patterson.
