He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Fowler Dean; his parents, Clinton Dean and Ethel Dean; and his sister Wilma Farrington. He is survived by: his sons, Larry A. Dean of Marion and Garry E. Dean of Wytheville; his daughter-in-law Debbie Dean; his grandchildren, Josh Dean (Jessica), Travis Dean, Lisa Dean Gilbert and Dana Dean Crewey (Josh Crewey, Sr.); his great grandchildren, Brian Crockett, Tyler Crockett, Josh Crewey, Jr., Isaac Crewey, Jayden Dean and Karter Dean; and his great great grandchildren, Gideon Crockett, Anna Lee Crockett and Silas Crockett.
