It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Eugene Maxwell of Rowe, Virginia, born in Richlands, Virginia, who passed away on July 14, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Elizabeth Jackson Maxwell; and his brother Milfred Douglas Maxwell. He is survived by: his mother Gay Keen Maxwell of Whitewood, Virginia; his close friend Robin Smith (Virginia) of Honaker; his son Travis Maxwell (Virginia) of Rowe; his stepdaughter Caryn Johnson (Rick) of Decatur, Alabama.; his brother Terry Maxwell (Shelia) of Whitewood; his sister-in-law Shelby Maxwell of Pilgrims Knob, Virginia.; his nieces, Brigette Maxwell Dean and Brittany Ellington (Dusty); his great-nephew Cole; his niece Emily Maxwell-Hobbs (Daniel); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Landrie and Max; and also, Hannah Jessee (Andrew), Sarah Smith (Levi Johnson) and Rusty Maxwell (Kristy). He is also survived by Several Step Grandchildren and Honorary Grandchildren; and Several Step Great Grandchildren.
