With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sylvia Juanita Dye of Rowe, Virginia, born in Jewell Ridge, Virginia, who passed away on April 6, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Lee and Oakla Lear Hess Compton; her husbands, Cecil Dye and Donald Tucker; her siblings, Joan Dye, Linkous, Donald, Eldon and Junebug Compton; and her daughter-in-law Greta Dye.
She is survived by: her children, Linda DeBord (Charles) of Lebanon, Chester Dye of Honaker, Carolyn Whited (Tommy) of Honaker and Melissa Dye (Curtis) of Drill; her grandchildren, Jamie Meadows (Lori), Joshua Crabtree (Cindy), Santana Prescott (Joey), Justin Crabtree (Amber), Dakota Welch (Dillon) and William Hess (Kristin); her siblings, Joyce Smith (Jay), Randy Compton (Tonya), David Compton and Geraldine Novean (Bob); and her sister-in-law Myrtle Stiltner. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
