He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Melton and Pauline Baldwin Melton. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Melton; his children, Mark Gibson, Matthew Robert Melton, Crystal Denise Melton (J. L. Blankenship) and Kelly Dawn Cordill; and his sisters, Martha Muntean, Gloria Shifflett (Joe) and Drema Melton Nickels.
