It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earnest Willard Helton of Rowe, Virginia, who passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Helton and Ruby Pauline Arwood Helton; his granddaughter Shelby Adaline Rose Helton; and his siblings, Jimmy Helton, Billy Helton, Johnny Helton, Ann Helton and Carol Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Ann Harris Helton; his sons, Willard Junior Helton (Teressa) of Tucson, Brian Tracy Helton of Bristol and Melvin Brandon Helton (Kimberly) of Honaker, Virginia; his siblings, Sue McGlothlin, Ralph Helton, Darlene Dye (Tim), Charlene Farmer (Donnie) and Ricky Helton (Jeannie); his siblings-in-law, Doug Cook and Anita Helton; his grandchildren, Sebastian Helton (Ashley), Marissa Lechelle Helton, Tyler Blake Helton (Naayu), Madison Bryce Helton, Ruby Savannah Renee Helton (Brian Jenkins), Brandi Alice Elaine Helton (Matthew Roberts), Melvin Brandon Helton, II (Brittany), Eleanora Braiden Helton, Melvin Jacob Riley Helton, Earnest Waylon Helton and Landon Bradley Sizemore; and his great grandchildren, Norah, Aniko, Asher, Jasper, Jackson and Levi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (4686 Redbud Hwy, Honaker, VA 24260). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
