He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Brownlow Bise and Rassie Cathrine Chafin Bise; and his siblings, Attie Hicks, Virginia Hess, Lois Honaker and Robert Bise.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Jean Bailey Bise of Rowe, VA; his children, Sarah Lynn Meadows (Kevin Lee) of Rowe, VA and John David Bise of Rowe, VA; his siblings, Mary Ellen Hess of Abingdon, VA, Lowell Jackie Bise (Brenda) of Honaker, VA and Jimmy Bise (Sylvia) of Roanoke, VA; his half-brother William Bill Chafin (Janet) of Omaha, NE.; his grandchildren, Garrett Meadows, Cassie Hackworth (Jordan) and Kaylee Sargent (Jeremy); and his great grandchildren, Evie Lou Hackworth and Aiden Randall Sargent. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Keen Mountain, VA, Monday, February 1st after 6:00 p. m. with evening services to be held at 7:00 p. m. In observance of COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be observed, and the wearing of masks is required for attendance.
